In some cases, individuals flying separately from the group may need to be ticketed before the group's ticket can be issued. If, after an individual's tickets are issued the group changes airlines, routing, or timing these individuals may be affected. Airlines have the right to change flight schedules and aircraft at any time. Additional costs resulting from the group's flight change are the responsibility of the individual.
Individuals flying separately from the group are also then required to make their own arrangements to meet up with the group, either at the destination airport upon the group's arrival, or at the first hotel. If the airline alters flight schedules for the group or the individual, obvious coordination problems can arise.
