Dear Friends,

As a new Catholic—I entered the church at Easter Vigil of 2009—I have found great solace in Mary, the Mother of God. My faith was broken in the strict legalism of fundamentalist Christianity, but my faith was restored when the maternal love of Mary tenderly brought me back to Jesus. Please join me and Father Dan Letourneau in the spiritual discipline of pilgrimage as we journey together to France, tracing the footsteps of women who loved and honored our Blessed Mother.

Dear Friends,

Please join me and Catholic author Elizabeth Esther on a journey to sacred France. We'll begin with a focus on our Blessed Mother by visiting Our Lady of  Lourdes. You can imagine joining the hundreds praying the rosary as part of the torchlit Marian Procession! We'll have time for private devotions,  join the Eucharistic Procession,  receive the Blessing of the Sick and visit the legendary, healing waters. We will then trace the lives of St. Bernadette and St. Therese of Lisieux, celebrating Mass together at some of the most famous locations of our Catholic faith, including the Shrine of St. Catherine Laboure. Of course, we'll also spend time in Paris! I hope these days of pilgrimage will allow us to grow closer to Jesus Christ, in whose name we continue to live, move and have our being.
Space is limited, so book early!

Thank you and God Bless!
~ Fr. Dan

Day 1 - DEPART USA - We depart our home airport to connect with our overnight flight with dinner arriving in Paris the next day. We enjoy in-flight movies, dinner and breakfast aloft.

Day 2 -ARRIVE LOURDES - This morning, we arrive in Paris where we are met.  We continue on our short flight to Lourdes where we transfer to our simple, pilgrim’s hotel near the Shrine for dinner. In the evening, we join the Torchlight Marian Procession.  (D)

DAY 3 - LOURDES - This day is spent in devotion to Our Lady of Lourdes.  We celebrate Mass at the Grotto, with a morning orientation visit to the Shrine and a walking tour of Lourdes, visiting Boly Mill, where St. Bernadette was born; the Cachot, formerly used as a jail, where she lived during the apparitions; and the parish church.  This afternoon is free for private devotions, Eucharistic Procession, the Blessing of the Sick or the legendary, healing waters of the miraculous Lourdes spring...  Dinner and overnight at our hotel.  In the evening, we can once again join the Torchlight Marian Procession.  (B, D)

DAY 4 - LOURDES/PARIS – Following Mass at the Shrine; we depart Lourdes for Pau, where we board a short flight to Paris. On arrival, we are met and enjoy and orientation tour of the city passing by the Arc de Triomphe, Eiffel Tower and travel down the famous Champs-Elysees.  Later, we continue to our hotel for dinner and overnight.  The balance of the day is at leisure. (B, D)

DAY 5 - PARIS -This morning following Mass at the Miraculous Medal Shrine of St. Catherine Laboure, we tour the sites of Paris, including a visit to the most enduring symbol of the French capital, the Notre Dame Cathedral on the Ile de la Cité. While here, we also make a stop at the Holy Chapel believed to hold relics, including nails and pieces of wood from the Cross of Calvary.  This afternoon will be free for shopping, personal adventure or optional excursions.  We will have the opportunity to enjoy the culinary delights of Paris as dinner will be on our own. (B)

Day 6 - NEVERS - After breakfast we will depart for Nevers by way of the picturesque Loire Valley. After taking the veil in 1867, St. Bernadette lived for 12 years as a member of the Congregation of the Sisters of Nevers. At least three times during her short lifetime, she received the last Sacraments. In addition to asthma, she was gradually struck by other illnesses, among them was tuberculosis of the lung and a tubercular tumor in her right knee. St. Bernadette eventually died at the age of 35. See St. Bernadette's incorrupt body at the Convent of St. Gildard, miraculously preserved since her death in 1879. Mass at the Convent. Return to our hotel for dinner and overnight. (B, D)

Day 7 - LISIEUX - Today we venture out of Paris to Lisieux, the home of St. Therese the Little Flower, where we celebrate Mass in the village convent. We also visit the Basilica dedicated to St. Therese.  The Basilica is the objective for pilgrims from the world over who come to kneel in solemn prayer to St. Therese.  Here we visit Les Buissonnets, where St. Therese lived as a child. Return to Paris for dinner and overnight. (B, D)

Day 8 - PARIS - Today following an early Mass at a church near our hotel, the balance of the day is yours for shopping, personal adventure or optional excursions.  Optional excursion includes Versailles, Chartres, Lisieux or Mount St. Michel.  Enjoy the delights of exploring French cuisine as dinner is once again on your own tonight. (B)

Day 9 - PARIS - Again, today following Mass nearby, the rest of your day is at leisure. Dinner and overnight at the hotel. (B, D)

DAY 10 - RETURN - We transfer to the airport for our flight home with unforgettable memories to cherish always. (B)
